Translational research update: ‘Simulated learning’ – How effective is it in refractive training?

Simulated learning, well known for training pilots in commercial aviation and the military, is now being used in a diverse range of fields to enhance learning.

In optometry, this may enable students to refine their clinical techniques and reduce costs involved with clinical supervision and the need for volunteer patients.

In accordance with our commitment to human resource development and using our experience in teaching refraction all over the world and the training needs of optometrists and educators, we have developed the Brien Holden Vision Institute Virtual Refractor.
